Tiger Hostel - Riga

I stayed at Tiger Hostel in Riga for a short stay while visiting the University of Latvia. The staff, especially Camilla and Taisija, were extremely helpful. I loved the tiger-themed decor in the lobby and the tiger print sheets and quilts in the room. The location was fantastic, with a beautiful park across the street and easy access to stores and transportation. The kitchen and shower were good, and overall, it was excellent value for the price. I will definitely stay here again.

Very clean, close to the Old Town. Staff police and nice beyond description. Large rooms, spacious showers, comfortable beds, towels, kettle/small kitchen with microwave, fridge - everything one needs to have a pleasant hostel stay. i arrived around midnight, and nothing could make me happier than clean facilities and cup of hot tea, offered by the hostel.

owners were very very kind and its location is good for sightseeing. This hostel is near by old town.

the shower was not so hot and sometimes became too hot or too cold. but i think it's not so serious.

Great location with easy access to the bus and train station as well as the Old Town. I was staying at the single room, the room was spacious and tidy. The kitchen and the bathrooms clean. Free Wi-Fi. There was a computer in the room for personal use. The staff helpful and pleasant. It was my first stay at the hostel and it was great! Would recommend this hostel for everybody. Very good value for the money.

There was some strange odour. Couldn't figure out what it was. Maybe old smoke smell, though it's not allowed to smoke at the hostel. I statyed at the hostel half of the day and couple of days later received No Show message from Booked.net with the amount to be deducted from my account. Called the hostel and found out that the staff shifts changed and as I checked-out the same day they marked me as No Show. But after my call the man remembered me and the money wasn't deducted.

Good location (neat railway station and old town), nice staff.

My room faced an interior courtyard so it did not get sun/heat ... important since no AC. Also, no road noise for my room. Nice kitchen with large refrigerator.

Some rooms faced the sun and were very hot.

Location, very close to central station and we didnt have to walk too much after arriving riga. We had a private room. Staff was very nice and friendly. Also, appreciated that she let us check out 2 hours later. We really needed that extra sleep :) Good value for the money and a very nice Hostel in a decent location in center Riga!

I knew that it was a Hostel and it could have been nice if there were private bathroom in private rooms too. But still, for one night, its not a big problem.

there is no signs to locate hostel which is on the first floor of an aparment. on the other hand the guy who owns the hostel is very friendly and helpful. the hostel is very clean and comfortable and has many facilities sucu free internet, discounts etc...

Great location - right next to the bus and train station, as well as old town. Clean and quiet, too. This is what is most important to me.

Very small kitchen area, and no stove, only a microwave. Staff was a bit brusque, but not unkind. Not much room for socializing: this is a place mainly for sleeping and storing things. Advertised as having a computer in every room, but there was only wireless connection when I was there.

The location and the idea of computer in every room although the internet didn't work there.

There was an interesting smell and I think the price is too high for that kind of hostel.

Good location close to old city, railway station and city market. Clean kitchen,shower and room. Free wifi and computer to use it. Very good staff speaking both English and Russian. I kindly recomend to go to city market to buy food - very good choice of cheese and fish. One of the best hostels I ever been, really nice and comfortable..

It was impossible to pay with credit card and we should find enough cash.

Good location, clean and cheap.

There could be the nearest parking addresses at the reception. It is also a high time to change mattresses.

Location, clean rooms, clean sheets&towels, friendly staffs.Everything was great.

Shower was a little bit inconvenient to use.
